Cartagena...

With a population of around 900,000, Cartagena is a city that is beloved for its charming colonial center and stunning beaches that attract many tourists. However, the reality of poverty that affects thousands of people living in shanty towns around the "ciudad amurallada" or "walled city" is a stark contrast to the city's beauty.

Economic inequality in Cartagena, is a deeply concerning problem that deserves our attention.

It is heartbreaking to learn that approximately 500,000 people living in and around Cartagena are living in poverty. Children in particular are facing poor living conditions, undernourishment, and a lack of medical attention that can have a lasting impact on their physical and mental well-being. In some cases, this poverty leads to the disintegration of families and child abandonment, which only worsens the situation.

Many families struggle to provide their children with basic necessities such as food, shelter, and education. As a result, these children are exposed to various risks, including malnutrition, limited access to healthcare, and a lack of educational opportunities.

However, there is hope. Sports have proven to be a powerful tool in transforming the lives of children living in poverty. Engaging in sports activities not only promotes physical health but also teaches important life skills such as teamwork, discipline, and perseverance. It provides a safe and supportive environment where children can learn, grow, and develop their full potential.

We believe that every child deserves a chance to thrive, regardless of their socio-economic background. That's why we have launched this non-profit, to come alongside existing community leaders with their own programs and plans in Cartagena aimed at empowering these children and giving them a brighter future.

However, we cannot do this alone. We need your support to make a lasting impact on the lives of these children. Your generous contribution will help our partners reinforced their programs, and expand to reach more children, and provide them with the resources they need to succeed.

Together, we can make a difference. Your donation, no matter how small, will go a long way in transforming the lives of these children and giving them hope for a better tomorrow.
